Tom Racine, Author/Illustrator

Tom Racine is a cartoonist, illustrator, and author of the "Doomed to Die" series which started in the fall of 2025 with the publication of "Doomed to Die: An A-Z of Death in Tolkien" from HarperCollins UK/US.  What began as a fun "Inktober" challenge in 2024 became a book inspired by Tom's love of Edward Gorey and J.R.R. Tolkien that was endorsed by the Tolkien Estate! The series continues to expand with the 2026 publication of "The ABC of Murders: An A-Z of Death in Agatha Christie," and "To Die or Not to Die: An A-Z of Death in Shakespeare."  Stay tuned for more books in the series in the future!
